Hi! I’m Kitty. Welcome to my blog. I never expected to become a widow at the age of 53. When your spouse dies suddenly without warning there are repercussions that you never dreamed of. Not only does it leave a hole in your heart, at your dinner table and your bed, it changes your identity as well. The future you had been planning for is gone. So are some of your friends and other social contacts. It is hard to be single in a world of couples.
In this blog I will be sharing some of the things I have learned since that horrible day. Some are humorous, some are serious, but I hope all of them are helpful. Topics will include children, finances, guilt, and building a new social life. I welcome your input for additional discussions.
People are fond of saying, “it will get better over time”. It won’t. It is just something you learn to live with, like the sound of your heartbeat. It does help to share with others who know and understand what you are going through.
